About Me

Compassionate

I work to create a safe and warm environment. An environment where your experience matters most, where you are valid, and where you deserve care.

Present

Being present to moment to moment experiences will create opportunities to move into deeper understanding of painful internal events. I will work to create space for the natural and organic unfolding of your experience to be at the center of our work.

Curious

I encourage a willingness to the lean into the unknown; with open arms and a beginners mindset, anything and everything is possible.

Hello…

Meet Andrew, a licensed therapist with a passion for adventure and helping others reach their full potential. Andrew has been working in the field for over 10 years and has a wealth of experience in a variety of settings, from private practice to college athletics. He has a unique approach to therapy that incorporates elements of ACT therapy, mindfulness, and the concept of flow state, making him a sought-after therapist for athletes, coaches, and teams.

Growing up in the Bay Area of California, Andrew was always an active person, participating in sports and outdoor activities. This love of adventure continued into adulthood, and he has become an avid kayaker and skier. He also has a deep passion for rugby and was a former Cal rugby player while studying at UC Berkeley, which has given him a unique perspective on the mindset and physical demands of high-level athletes.

Andrew earned his Master's in Counseling Psychology from Prescott College. He has been trained in ACT therapy, which is a mindfulness-based therapy that helps individuals improve their mental and emotional well-being. He is also a Certified Mindful Sports Performance Enhancement Instructor. His expertise in ACT therapy as well as experience with MSPE can be a valuable asset in working with athletes and coaches, as it helps individuals become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop skills to manage them in a more effective way.

Andrew provides general therapy services to individuals who are struggling with mental health issues or seeking to improve their overall well-being. He is dedicated to helping his clients achieve a sense of inner peace, fulfillment, and happiness, and works with them to identify and overcome obstacles that are preventing them from reaching these goals.

In addition to providing clinical therapy to individuals, Andrew has worked with athletes and teams in a range of capacities from a variety of sports, including rowing, and rugby. He is interested in working with coaches and trainers, helping them to understand and improve their athletes' mental and emotional well-being. His approach to therapy is centered around the concept of flow state, which is the state in which individuals are completely immersed in their activity, experiencing a sense of joy, creativity, and heightened awareness. By helping individuals achieve this state, Andrew helps them to perform at their best and reach their full potential.

Andrew is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who is committed to helping his clients reach their full potential. His unique blend of ACT therapy, mindfulness, and performance psychology, combined with his love of adventure, make him an excellent choice for anyone seeking to improve their mental and emotional well-being.
